BrewProf.com: 2 Years of Cheers!

BrewProf.com is still here keeping you in the know with what’s going on in beer in Cincinnati. Okay, the official date was September 7th but I got a little busy.  It’s hard to believe yet another year has flown by but my Cincinnati craft beer hub is still thriving! It seems you all still find value in what I write and for that, I am deeply humbled. This continues to be a fun endeavor that allows me to give back to Cincinnati’s beer fans — keep reading for new scoops and free beer!

Scoops

I do my best to keep up with all of the current, and under development, craft breweries in the area. Naturally, this post wouldn’t complete without passing along some insider information about two the area’s most popular breweries:

  • New Rhinegesit Can – Panther Porter: OTR’s Rhinegeist is adding to their canned arsenal with their tasty Panther porter. This electric purple/pink can should be lighting upstore shelves soon.  Perhaps it will make an appearance at Franztoberfest?? This will take the place of their Zen session pale ale which is on a hiatus until next spring (this is unfortunate).

  • MadTree taking over the building next door: If you’ve been to MadTree in the past six months it is pretty obvious that their wild success has pushed their building to the limits. The furniture store next door will be out of the way soon opening up a world of possibilities fora MadTree compound. Initial plans call for all production moving next door and expanding the taproom area but there are many things still up in the air. Some friendly conversations with county officials may ultimately dictate what happens. Stay tuned for more details as they develop.

Sponsor Giveaway

You have no doubt noticed my two awesome sponsors, Cappy’s Loveland and The Brass Tap – U Square. They help cover my hosting costs and buy me a couple beers. I’ve chosen to partner with them because they are two establishments I truly enjoy and support – regardless of sponsorship. If you haven’t been had a chance to visit either of them, I strongly encourage you to do so.

Need a little motivation? Leave a comment below about what you love about Cappy’s and/or Brass Tap — or why you haven’t visited them — and be entered to win one of the following prizes:

  • $25 Brass Tap gift card
  • (3) Cappy’s 15% off a growler fill certificate
  • Sweetwater Brewing Hat and Shirt

Winners will be drawn at random on or around 9/25/2014. Must be 21 years of age or older to participate and/or be eligible to win.
